Somehow the onrushing autumn didn’t make me feel autumnal, but wintry already. Thus – wrapped in a blanket, by candlelight and hot chocolate – I searched my Bob Ross episodes for a winter motive and then decided for the picture “Winter Sun”.
Either this picture was easier to paint than the previous ones, or I have already gained some routine by now – or maybe both. ;) Anyway, this time it only took me about two hours, if I remember correctly. But on the other hand it is a little more unmeaning than the previous ones. In contrast to my other pictures, nothing “connects” me to it. It’s just a plain study piece.
I think the fiery sky is totally great, I could stare at it for hours. :) The rest however is a little too pink for me in hindsight. It just doesn’t really match the colors of the sun and the sky. But well – Bob did it that way, and at the moment I’m only acting reproductively. ;)

Eine tolle Idee und perfekt umgesetzt. Ich musste das einfach loswerden, als ich diese Website gesehen habe, als ich dann auch noch auf der Kontakt Seite Dein Bild gesehen habe, steht fest, dass nicht nur die Website eine Schönheit ist.
P.S.: Was haben die Photos im Hintergrund links zu bedeuten ? Speziell das Bild von Frank Zappa !

Hmm, wegen der Bilder allgemein: Das sind einfach ein paar – wie soll ich es nennen? – “Vorbilder” oder inspirierende Personen. ;) Thomas Mann, Mike Oldfield, Frank Zappa. Ich wollte eigentlich einen aus dem Bereich Literatur, einen aus der Musik und dann noch was Drittes nehmen, aber da fiel mir nicht mehr so wirklich was ein, also habe ich zwei aus der Musik genommen. ;)
Und zu Zappa speziell: Ich bin nicht umsonst auf last.fm in der Gruppe “I was born several decades too late“. ;) Ich glaube, so um die 60er herum hätte ich mich musikalisch wohler gefühlt.
