Today I created my second piece of art in oils, and I was totally amazed how much better it already worked although it was only my second attempt. But I could clearly notice that I had already gained some experience from the first picture. So this time I had at least a slight idea about how much linseed oil to apply, how much paint to load on the brush and when to work with thinner. The whole act of brush-swinging in general was easier this time: brush, canvas, pressure, resistance, consistence, I already knew all that from last time. I was really surprised how much you can already learn by painting one single picture, and I was even more surprised by the result. I think it shows a serious progress that I had not expected at all. It seems quite a lot more natural than the first one.
Again, I dutifully let my Bob Ross video run alongside, yet I still have to stop it very often. I don’t get it done in 30 minutes like the master yet. I think it took me about four hours.
This time I did not paint on a stretcher frame, but on a thin (wooden?) panel covered with canvas. It has a size of 40 x 30 cm, so I could easily find a picture frame matching in color. Just leave the glass pane away, and you have a wonderful wooden frame for an oil painting. ;)

Das erste Bild sah ja schon nach was aus, aber Dein neues Werk ist tatsächlich noch ein Fortschritt. Meine erste Frage war: Warum gabs diesen Ross noch nicht im Fernsehen, als ich noch Kunst-LK hatte?
Wie wäre es denn jetzt noch mit einer kunstvollen Signatur? Deine jetzige kann man zu leicht fälschen. :-)
Wann hattest Du denn Kunst-LK? So um 93 rum? Seine Sendung gibt es seit 83. :D Aber ich weiß nicht, ob sie auch zu jeder Zeit in Deutschland ausgestrahlt wurde – das war ja noch zu 3-Sender-Zeiten. ;)
Das mit der Signatur hat meine Mama auch gesagt. :) Ich habe das eigentlich einfach dem Bob nachgemacht – der unterschreibt auch immer fast ganz normal. Naja, mal gucken, ob mir da noch was Kreativeres einfällt.

Ja, das mit der Liste da auf der Seite ist irgendwie doof – vor ein paar Wochen waren da noch alle teilnehmenden Seiten komplett aufgelistet, aber vermutlich wurde die einfach zu lang, sodaß man jetzt immer nur eine zufällig generierte Auswahl zu sehen kriegt.
Zu den Bildern: Ja, ich hatte mir eigentlich vorgenommen, für jeden Monat ein Bild zu malen. Bin also schon etwas im Verzug. ;) Aber da kommt definitiv noch was! :)
