\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nWhile I was scribblig my two posts yesterday, my eye suddenly got caught by the status bar of my Firefox. That is where the addon “Google PageRank Status<\/a>\u201c is located, which shows you the current Google PageRank<\/a> of the sites you are surfing to. In short, the PageRank is a value that indicates the popularity of a website. It can lie between 0 (unpopular) and 10 (very popular).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Previously, my site had always had a PageRank of 0. That wasn’t any wonder, because my blog is not the most comprehensive one and, as for the subjects, it isn’t exactly a crowd puller either. Furthermore, I haven’t made any efforts to make it public by means of search engine optimization, link exchange, guestbook spam or similar measures. Some of you may now think: “My God, is she stupid, thrilled to bits about a measly PageRank of 1!” – Yes, I know that is neither much nor anything special. I suppose, every second site on the internet has that rank. On the other hand, the German Google page www.google.de<\/a> has a PageRank of 8. \r\nAll the more I was surprised to spot a one there suddenly. And all the more I can be proud of it, for it is 100% real and “naturally ripened”. ;)<\/p>\r\n\r\n
