I have decided to start a new category here. When I was six years old and we got our first computer, I began playing adventure games almost immediately. Since then, other genres have rarely had a chance with me. But there’s one kind of adventure games that I like the most, namely those with fairly realistic (i.e. not too comic-like) graphics and a preferably mysterious story.
\r\nOf course I, too, have played “Monkey Island” and “Day of the Tentacle”, and of course they are divine, and the adventure game history wouldn’t be the same without them. But if I had the choice to play “Sam & Max” or a game from the Agatha Christie series, I would always choose the latter.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I have always wished for a list of adventures that only features the kind of games that I prefer. But since I couldn’t find anything like that, I’ll just make that list myself now! I will shortly comment on the criteria “story\/characters, “puzzles”, “graphics”, “sound”, and “control” and rate them with up to five stars. The average will then result in the overall rating. (I had initially considered to give the criteria different weightings, but somehow they’re all equally important: Every single one of them can mess up the entire game if it is poorly implemented.)<\/p>\r\n\r\n

So, whenever I’ve played an adventure game, I will now express my opinion here.
