First adventures in the Outlands

The old ones without armor were prettier ...

After more than three weeks break, we have now started on our first adventures in the Outlands. You can clearly notice that the quests here give you much more experience points than the ones in the “Old World”. Within a few hours, we had leveled from 58 to 60 – time to buy new horsies again.
Strangely enough, there were no noteworthy drops over the whole evening – they wouldn’t make any changes to the grandiose drop rate, would they?! But this worry vanished when I got four [Nightseyes] out of a single ore.

Yesterday we only did very few quests. We didn’t even finish one level – but we did finish two 68 Horde guys! After some dumb-ass rogue had tried a ridiculous attack on us (although we had left him alone before, when he had a few mobs on him), I turned sour and decided that every further Horde guy who crossed my way would have to atone. So without hesitation, I charged a warlock who was running around nearby with a hunter. He only had half life and died after a few hits, but the hunter was a slightly harder nut to crack. Luckily, he was dumb enough not to pay attention to Coldinchen – this way, I almost saw the light at the end of the tunnel several times, but in the end succeeded in killing him. Only then I realized that they were both level 68. 68! And let themselves get killed by two 60s – how embarrassing! *g* (But in the first place I wonder what they were doing in this 60ish quest area anyway.)

Today we finished questing on the Hellfire Peninsula – well, not quite, I think there were a few quests left somewhere, but actually we didn’t want to stay in this barren, withered land any longer. Since we are now 62, we rather move on to the Zangarmarsh tomorrow. At least we found a [Chestguard of Illumination] today, and again four gems in one ore – but only [Flame Spessarite] this time. :(
